Alexander Guerrero

Alex Guerrero is a philosopher working in political philosophy, ethics, legal philosophy, and epistemology.

He is a Professor of Philosophy at Rutgers University - New Brunswick, one of the leading philosophy programs in the world. He regularly teaches courses in the above areas, as well as African Philosophy, Chinese Philosophy, Latin American Philosophy, Native American Philosophy, and the Ethics of Technology and Artificial Intelligence. He is an Associate Editor for Ethics and created a free, online, open-to-all Coursera course, Revolutionary Ideas: An Introduction to Legal and Political Philosophy.

Alex was born in Houston, TX, but grew up outside Seattle in the Renton/Kent area in Washington State. He graduated from Kentridge High School, Harvard College, NYU School of Law, and received his PhD in Philosophy from NYU.
